Southern Cross Travel Medicine Conference (SCTMC 2019)

Updated: Jul 15, 2020

Members from the Biocelect team attend the 4th Annual Southern Cross Travel Medicine Conference(SCTMC 2019) in Sydney (hosted by The Australasian College of Tropical Medicine (ACTM) and the ACTM Faculty of Travel Medicine) from 6-8 September 2019.   Like  previous SCTMC conferences: Auckland (2016), Melbourne (2017) and Brisbane (2018), this conference delivered excellent information for the professional development of health practitioners working in the field of travel medicine. With stimulating, succinct and novel sessions covering a range of important travel and tropical medicine topics, including:  Malaria; Vaccine preventable disease; Safety and security of travellers; Dengue, zika and chikungunya; Special groups of travellers; Applying the knowledge of travel medicine for the greater good; Neglected diseases and Aerospace medicine. Again this year, the popular travel medicine workshops were also run, including workshops on Introductory Travel Medicine, Yellow Fever and One Health / Zoonoses. We look forward to attending the 5th Annual SCTMC in Melbourne in 2020.
